Privacy notice

What we collect

• Account details: name, phone, email, district, and where you live for tax.
• Your PAN, if you give it. It is encrypted, and only the last four characters are shown.
• Calculator figures you choose to save. Anonymous saves are deleted after 30 days.
• Documents you upload, messages with your expert, and your request history.

Why we use it

To run your account, deliver the services you ask for, connect you with an expert, keep required records, and send reminders if you opt in.

Who sees it

Before accepting your case, an expert sees only the service, district, language and where you live. They see your name, documents and messages only once they accept it, and lose access 30 days after completion. Our staff see cases to support them. Every document view and download is logged.

How it is protected

Each document is encrypted with its own key, and scanned for viruses before anyone can open it. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase. Emails are sent through our email provider.

How long we keep it

Documents are kept for 8 years, as tax records may be needed for that long, unless a legal hold applies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or erase your data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, or make a complaint. Use Profile and privacy in your account, or contact the grievance officer. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
